So I am very interested in how the building system works? What are the types of buildings you would be able to make?
I really hope for a rich system and many building options.
Like what are the options now? House / Fort / Caste??
Any of these in the plans? - Outposts / Lookout points ? - Markets / Trade caravans / Taverns ?

I've seen your message and trying to find the time to completely and throughly answer it. Give me a day or two. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The building mechanics are still in the works you can see the early placed homestead in our dev blog 11. DevBlog11The early plans are to get persistent world functioning as it should and then slowly build these systems as we see our world form. Some early thoughts were to be able to place homes/housing, guildhalls, crafting areas, vendor stations, palisade wall protection, and wall protection for the first iteration of these "Homesteads". There has been lots of thoughts on how this should be completed and designs aren't fully placed into Certovia yet. We are open to your thoughts or concerns with the player homestead system. A promise is whatever we do it will match the lore and storyline of the world we are building and as always the criteria: Is it possible with our resources or systems? Does it add to Immersion? Will gamers use it? Is it viable? Is it fun?

Shroud of the avatar did something interesting with player owned cities, a single player owns the map and can place whatever they want on the land (trees/walls/roads/crafting pavilions with crafting tables... etc) but could also put down housing plots that other players could build their own houses on after they got permission from the city owner. These cities were each their own instances and not in the open game map, but I think it could apply to open world cities as well, infect I think it would be even cooler. the city owner could have walls up around their city with a gate that players need the password to to enter, or leave the gate open for a trade town. Then there could even be inner walls with an additional password for things like an inner guild hall. (would be fun trying to find ways into peoples locked away areas

How will you work out trees? I don't know how I feel about buying a tree...

Another thing is will you have to buy the island? Or will you just start with it?

Im hoping against all hopes you have to actually craft buildings. ie to make the windows you have to collect sand and use a smelter/furnace to make glass. and gather wood and mill it into lumber

As long as it is challenging but does NOT grind you to death. All about finding a nice balance in my opinion.
