Will Enchanters have any sort of long-term thrall capability, such as mind-controlling an entity for longer than one battle, say, until the thrall is dead? Will enthralling a mob be possible at all, in fact? The character creator seemed to hint that it would be a feature. Would enthralling beasts be a different challenge than enthralling humanoids? Could an Enchanter enthrall one of each? (or more, as they grow in power)

I myself love the option of the enchanter being able to partake in total mind control of certain target/s.

Seen enchanters done so many ways in so many games that the class really is wide open to interpretation. Havent seen a game where the enchanter has a perma pet that it mind controls, although I have seen them with the ability to make monsters fight each other for a short duration, even seen a game where enchanter had an aoe mind control that let you have like 6 monsters fight it out in a battle royale

In EQ they had a very weak pet that was just a pair of swords that fought on your behalf. If you have any great design thought, we are always all ears?

I think of enchanter as a low dps support class whose main role is to provide buffs for party members and debuffs/CC's on enemies. In a party they are the hidden dps booster and hp saver, they themselves dont do the dps but they have a debuff that allows everyone else to do more, and althou they dont directly heal people they can provide buffs that increase the defense of party members and maybe even increase the amount healed on them from a healer. They can also be very powerful pvpers. They wont be going around killing mages in a few hits like a warrior, but instead they can stun their opponents, weaken them with debuffs, and slowly widdle away at their hp. A slow painful death that you cant escape from

The EQ Enchanter animation spells were mostly pointless, which was always disappointing. I am still not sure why the class even had them.

The EQ Enchanter animation spells were mostly pointless, which was always disappointing. I am still not sure why the class even had them. I think the original idea was to provide themselves and others a safer way to travel in cities where they would normally be KoS effectively raising their faction with that race. Of course we all know how easy it always was for NPC's to see through the spell so nobody felt safe with using it. Ultimately it was an idea that had a lot of potential but was never fleshed out in my opinion.
