Question: If there was horticulture in DtN which systems are your favorites? Questions A. Have you ever played a MMO with a good horticulture system? B. Do you like horticulture and consider it a must have for a MMO? C. Would you like NPC's to tend your land while afk or would you prefer growth be enchanted by external means to speed up processes? OR something else all together?

A) Not really, I haven't really found one with much horticulture. I really could care less for it, but maybe being able to build a farm on your island might be cool, so you can grow your own food and then be set. C) I think having NPC's do stuff while you are gone is a good way of doing it.

A Not Really
B I would totally love that, it would be something that will attract a curtain gamer that is now mostly overlooked -> The more peaceful role-playing player / Those who want to build up a little house /garden have their own little empire / It would help out a Guild for food / It can be used on markets for trading.
C Yes definitely get NPCs involved to work along side a player. Gives the player also the freedom to travel around. * I would love a system where if you spent enough time on your land and you follow all the rights steps the crop will grow better / more. So you plow / fertilize / water the lands do all the steps to keep your soil and crop healthy providing more and better produce. Also would love farming tools to be a thing in this game even animals helping out.

A. I'm not sure if these would count, but WAR had "cultivation" which had you grow plants, and LOTRO has farming as a gathering profession, so if those count, then yes, I've played two.
B. I don't have strong feelings about horticulture, but I know some people are passionate about it, so my position is it's always better for an MMO to have more options rather than fewer ones!
C. I don't really play MMOs where BULK cultivation is a thing, necessitating being able to gather/process while offline, so I'm a bit out of my depth with this. I guess I assume that if some wealth could be amassed by doing horticulture, one would be able to "hire" NPCs to tend to the land while the player's offline. I would prefer this to being able to buy potions or certificates that "insta-craft" or "insta-gather" whatever you're processing. Alternatively, I would not mind a system where, as long as you have the materials and funds to supply the gathering process, you can't just "fire and forget" and let the work be done for you until your consumables run out.
(this is assuming that gathering/cultivation isn't an "active" skill requiring player input, in which case I feel like having offline gathering would be a bit like "Afk-questing" and I'm not a fan)
